By working step by step, you can review and adjust the AI's work at each stage before moving forward.

Give AI a role or persona to get more tailored responses.

"You are a patient cooking instructor. Walk me through making risotto step by step, explaining each technique as we go."

"You are a travel agent specializing in accessible travel for seniors. Help me plan a trip to Italy."

"You are a financial educator. Explain the pros and cons of paying off my mortgage early versus investing."

This technique works because AI responds differently when it has a clear frame of reference for what kind of expert it should be.

AI excels at helping you weigh decisions. Here is a prompt template you can use for almost any decision:

"I am deciding between [Option A] and [Option B]. Here is my situation: [describe your circumstances]. Please create a comparison that lists the pros, cons, costs, and important factors for each option. Then give me your recommendation based on my situation."
